Donations needed for student Dominican Republic Service Trip

UPDATE 12/17/2013: Thanks to all the generous donations, this trip is now fully funded and the girls will have the trip of a lifetime. Our sincere thanks to all whom have made this possible.

Nicole Barnes (Spanish teacher) and Mark Lichaj (science teacher) will be taking a group of 6 girls, 2 seniors Dzenana Skenderovic and Taylor Silvestri and 4 juniors Husna Afzal, Karolina Jaworowska, Guadalupe Santana, and Berenice Vara, to the Dominican Republic on a service learning trip this spring break.  The group will be working on projects related to ecotourism, conservation, and reforestation in addition to working on community specific endeavors.  The trip will also provide a cultural learning experience and language learning through immersion.  The price per person is $2,250 so we are trying to raise a total of $13,500.  We have already raised approximately $9,000 so any help would be greatly appreciated.  We need the remainder of the funds by the end of December. Thank you so much for considering a donation.

Donations can be made directly to the students through the links below or you can mail a check to
