Hugh Hefner Saves Print Edition of Embattled School Newspaper of His High School Alma Mater – Steinmetz Star
"Hefner sent the school's newspaper, the Steinmetz Star, a pledge of $37,500 over five years (or $7,500 a year) to preserve the paper's more-than-80-year tradition of printing after Chicago Public Schools officials announced in December the Star's print edition would have to cease because of cost concerns." - DNAinfo
The Passing of the Howard and Charles Padgitt
We didn't know about these passings until a few days ago until we received an email from the family. Howard R. Padgitt was from the class of June 1947. Charles A. Padgitt was from the class of June 1944. Both will be missed dearly. Our deepest condolences go out to the Padgitt Family.
The Passing of Larry Maas (6/1956)
Lara Shadwick, has let us know that her Father, Larry Maas (Jun-56) passed away on November 15, 2015.
He is survived by son Larry Maas, daughter Lara (Philip) Shadwick, and grandchildren Ellie and Colt.
