It is with a heavy heart that we formally announce that all Alumni Events, including regular board meetings have been postponed until further notice. Our Annual Event that was to be held in place of the annual picnic) in collaboration with Steinmetz Fest in May is cancelled. We do not know when CPS schools will be reopened. We are optimistically looking at planning an event in the Fall, and we will monitor the situation closely.
We still plan to mail out the newsletter in May because we know how important that is to our Members. We know that this is a difficult time for all of us, and we want to do what we can to help us all get through this together. Thanks to the hard word and dedication of Jenn, David, Dan, Karen and Joann the last newsletter went out without a hitch.
Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support, and we hope to get through this tough time like any other time we have in the past. We hope everyone is doing well, and stays that way.
Again, please everyone be safe out there and stay healthy. Follow the guidelines of the CDC, wear a mask or cloth covering when out and about, and practice social distancing. We want to see you again soon!
We are advising reunion organizers should seriously consider postponing their reunions in the next few months until we get the all clear. Most of the venues where reunions are being held are restaurants, most of which are only doing pickup and delivery only.
