- Elected to the All Time Northwest Football Team
- Drafted 7th by the Green Bay Packers in 1941..
- (Played for the Packers from 1941-1952.. Lost two years 1944-45 serving
in W.W. II) - Second running back in NFL history to gain a 1000 plus yards. 1949
- First running back in Green Bay Packer history to gain 1000 plus yards 1949
- Second player in Packer history to have his number retired ( no.3) by
the organization.. - Elected to the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio in 1974
- Elected to the Gonzaga Hall of Fame
- Elected to the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame
- Elected to the Chicago Sports Hall of Fame
- Elected to the State of Wisconsin Hall of Fame
